Movies
Since we started this process, we've come across some really neat movies and documentaries. Some relate to domestic or international adoption, the plight of orphans, or abortion and unexpected pregnancies. Check them out! We've found them educational, inspiring, and convicting. They might be available at your local library or on Netflix!

Both Hands: Serving widows, orphans, and the adoptive family.
We didn't' do this project but know of friends who have. An adoptive family connects with a widow in need and gets pledges to do a service project for the widow. Business partners can donate materials and many family/friend volunteers are involved.

Children's Books These aren't books about adoption per say but I found that they opened up conversations for the very young kiddos on having (or lacking) a home and a family. In these cases it is a sometimes an animal that is lacking the home, but still a neat way to discuss the idea.
