I'm not quite sure what to expect but I'm more concerned about Alex and Mateo not turning into little monsters than our house being clean. We've been through two babies already. We're already rockin' the baby gate on the stairs, outlet covers, and locked medicine cabinets. It's safe and child friendly here. I hope the boys will be adorable and charming, but I know they will throw toys everywhere, get hyper, and act nutty at least part of the time. Just hoping for no giant tantrums or super rough wrestling haha.
And if our home visit wasn't good enough motivation to tidy up and clean, we are also having at least 35 people over on Saturday for Burrito Night fundraiser dinner! After our home visit and the other hostings are done, we'll begin dismantling the dining room and living room, taking out furniture, and moving in tables and chairs!! We're really excited to serve dinner to our family, friends, and neighbors. We are planning food for 50+ and still hoping for a few more RSVPs to trickle in. My gracious friend is driving down to be our homemade tortilla making expert. My mom is baking cookies for 50 people. Several people have lent us tables, chairs, and crock pots. I will be busy Friday and Saturday cooking massive amounts of pinto beans, chicken, and rice. We really enjoy hosting, so this will be a fun (and very busy) day!
A couple other updates:
-People have sponsored 26 pieces of our puzzle so far.
-We've completed three of our six online classes and have been enjoying them. We're grateful that we can do these classes online, after the boys are tucked in, in our PJs. It's much more convenient for us! We should be able to finish up our classes by next week I hope!
-I've sold a total of 15 burp cloths.
-We have 14 baby bottles for change in circulation (and one already turned in)!
