There is always the possibility that the adoption will fail. There is risk. The birth mom could change her mind. The baby could not make it. etc. etc. But if one never made any decision that included risk, I think they'd just have to stay home and never leave the house. If the adoption fails, it just means that this baby is not ours and we wait for the baby who is.
So we proceed cautiously. Not wanting to get too attached to this baby, but excited nonetheless.
This past weekend we made over $300 by selling homemade Take N Bake pizzas! It was so nice to have the baking trays that Figaros donated to us to make the pizzas on. We're learning it doesn't hurt to ask! It was the second pizza place we tried calling and they said YES! Our friends and neighbors have been so gracious to let us feed them. Between our taco dinners and our pizzas, we have fed quite a few people for adoption!!
*Health of birth mom and baby girl; for a full term pregnancy
*Wisdom in making travel plans- where to stay, last minute airplane tickets, care for our sons during the time when we both have to be in the birth state, etc. So many details to work out!
*The two grants that we applied for
MANY Thanks :)
